YHATA Mission

YHATA will provide a tailored apprenticeship recruitment service to companies of all sizes in a range of sectors, to enable long term sustainable employment opportunities for Apprentices aged 16 and upwards through a flexible, expert approach.

employers

Taking on a young adult as an apprentice enables organisations to ensure that you can continue to build employee skills without initially directly employing new staff during the economic down turn.

One key dilemma that organisations are facing at present is how do they maintain skills during an economic down turn?

Your team is a key factor to your organisational success. Training your staff is the best way of ensuring your organisation remains competitive, being able to respond to customer demand, to adapt to a changing market and to look to the future.

A well-trained workforce leads to employees who are more confident, motivated, customer focused, efficient and effective and this can improve sales and organisational reputation whilst reducing waste, errors and accidents.

Providing Apprentice Jobs

However by hiring an apprentice for the cost of their weekly wage plus a £25 per week management fee means that you do not increase your head count but can take the opportunity to develop individuals in readiness to employ them once the economy improves.

Can your company apply to hire an Apprentice from the YHATA?

We welcome enquiries from all organisations and sectors however this programme is aimed at offering genuine opportunities to young adults to ensure they become academically qualified and to gain real experience of working with an employer

You must have safe working practices fully compliant with UK Health & Safety law (including relevant insurance cover).

You must be willing to provide a mentor to support the apprentice through work based procedures.

You must allow learning providers access to apprentices as required.

Some Apprenticeships require day release for class room based training and you must be willing to allow apprentices to attend if applicable.

If you should have suitable vacancies arise in your organisation we would also hope that you allow the apprentice to apply for relevant positions.
