YHATA acts as a workforce supplier for Apprenticeships for young adults.
- Apprentices are engaged by the YHATA and "hired out" as a flexible workforce to employers, known as "host companies" for the work-based element of their apprenticeship.
- Host companies pay the YHATA a fee for the hire of the apprentice, which comprises their salary plus a service charge which covers the management costs of employing and supporting the apprentice.
- YHATA takes on most of the administration, dealing with the payroll, support and supervision of the Apprentice
Our services for Apprenticeships are simple, efficient, cost effective and responsive
- We will organise the all the relevant government-funded training
- Should anything change and you cannot continue with the apprenticeship, you can hand them back and we will seek to find them an alternative placement or sign post to full time training
- We will support the apprentice with regular performance reviews to ensure they excel in your business. We do this for the life of the apprenticeship
Supervision of Apprentice
You will appoint an appropriate supervisor which the apprentice will report to and who will assist the learner with evidence gathering to support their learning programme (where appropriate) and will confirm the apprentice timesheet submission as being accurate and correct.
We will also support the apprentice in the workplace our monitoring officer will be in contact with the apprentice.
The learning provider will also support the apprentice through pre- planned information advice and guidance meetings in line with the training requirements.
Our Employer Engagement Officer will ensure of:
- Client liaison
- Satisfaction Survey (6 monthly)
- Ownership of client relationship
Health & Safety
For Health & Safety purposes, your apprentice is protected and should be treated in the same way as any of your employees.
We, as the employer, have an Health & Safety handbook, which will be issued to the apprentice, and we are required to complete an Health & Safety risk assessment and an Organisational Needs Analysis before the apprentice is allowed on site.
