Parents
Parents are continually looking for new ways to help their children who are about to leave school and enter the big wide world of employment.
Considering an apprenticeship job is a very viable option to gain credible work based experience whilst receiving valuable training to ensure a genuine opportunity to have a foot in the door for any future jobs.
Some young adults actually feel that this is the most suitable way to deal with the transition from child to adult (from classroom to workplace). This is a big leap and taking the apprenticeship route offers the support and tangible experience required to make young adults more employable.
They can develop their hands-on skills via this alternative route to gaining credible qualifications in a variety of areas including functional skills which incorporate elements of numeracy, literacy and IT.
In Australia 15% of the workforce enter via the apprenticeship route and this have proven to be a highly effective way of ensuring young adults attain the relevant skill sets to make them work ready where they will interact with other adults in a professional and mature environment.
